The La Belle Community Football League West is the newest and most competitive minor league football organization in Southern California. The LCFL provides skilled football players a forum to display and refine their skills as they make an attempt to reach a professional level of the sport. Made up of the some of the best teams and talent on the West Coast, the LCFL West has attracted the attention of several professional leagues and has successfully graduated several players to professional teams throughout the U.S. In the LCFL West inaugural year in 2005.

The LCFL was established in 2003 by Damascene Pierre Paul. Paul originally started the league in the Philadelphia, PA area to give young men the opportuntiy to keep playing the game they love. Legendary entertainer and philanthropist Patti LaBelle endorses the league by lending her name and likeness which she supports by being visibly involved in the interactions with the league. Other league supporters include former NFL football player and NBC anchor Maurice Spencer, Ray Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens, Adalius Thomas of the New England Patriots, Terrell Owens of the Dallas Cowboys, Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints, Donovan McNabb of the Philadelphia Eagles, Mark Clayton of the Baltimore Ravens, and former Super Bowl champion, Az Hakim. These NFL greats support the LCFL, and are currently working together to create a minor league community football system that is nationally recognized. With Philadelphia as the Mecca, the league has now established a region in the Western United States in Southern California. The LCFL hopes to become a nationwide organization that helps empower its players, and give positive representation to their communities. The LCFL will slowly expand and establish additional regions. States that have shown great interest are Nevada, Utah, Louisiana, Georgia, Washington, and Texas. The LCFL West currently has a total of 26 teams representing the West Coast. Those numbers look to grow in the near future with interest from the aforementioned states as well as leagues from across the United States. Current NFL players do not only endorse the LCFL, but they are sponsored by some of the best-known businesses around. The Courtyard Marriott LAX has taken a vested interest in the LCFL. “Bring It Hard” Energy Drink and American Airlines have recently added great discounts and amenities, which has started a great relationship with the league. We look for a strong healthy rapport with them in the coming years.
